Your Presence
So elusive.
Can I recall a time when I felt your presence? What was it like? What were the circumstances?
These times fade, their edges soften. I recall feeling near to you, Lord, but how?
This moment, can I feel it fully? What if I tried to describe it to a friend? Would I be more attentive?
If I had to describe the feeling of being near you, Lord, would I take greater care?
❖
The sun rises, spreads its colors across the valley. Let me watch closely, and remember this moment, for perhaps I am watching you wake up.
Let me practice being in your presence.

Consider:
Can I be here, now, present? Can I feel you near?
