Trust
Always rescued.
I was awakened in the night and could not sleep.
Alone with my thoughts, alone with my worries and fears, I could not stop looking for the time.
It seemed the night would stretch forever, and I would never get through it.
Dawn broke, the birds sang, the night ended as, deep down, I knew it would.
❖
Today there may be trial or challenge. Let me trust that the day marches on, regardless of how stuck in one moment it feels.
Let me trust in the inexorable dawn, Lord.
