I have been thinking about safety and home.
Imagine a small creature. Heart pounding, seeking refuge. It finds a hidden corner.
Safety, breath.
❖
I settle in.
The refuge transforms. It becomes more than shelter. I decorate. It becomes home.
The home grows comfortable. A place to flourish.
I open my home.
We welcome others in. Together, we create gathering.
Our home becomes a place of connection. We share stories, moments of peace. We find comfort in each other’s presence.
We grow together. Our gathering space becomes more than a refuge. It becomes a community.
❖
My journey is that of the small creature: From refuge to community.
Frightened, I pull inward and hide. What moved me to run loses its power, and I settle in. And then I want to share my rescue-home.
❖
Where, then, do we go next? Imagine if our gathering space, our space of community, was also a space of inspiration.
All who came were moved to leave the place and create their own spaces in their own communities and share them in their own way.
Imagine this peace spreading from home to home, from community to community.
From me to you to us to all.

Consider:
How can I grow through these homes, and open a space of inspiration?
