How can I explain what happened to me, inside, as you rained grace upon me and slowly realized it?
I have only been able to tell the story of it, Lord. First a thing happened, then another. Inert events.
How can I convey the quickening heart, the reorganization of all values, the thunderous acceptance of peace?
❖
I can only tell the story.
I set out on a journey, under the lash of circumstances. I found this place, this mountaintop, and you were here. Eventually I felt and knew that all would be well forevermore.
Is that not a story for the ages?
– from the mountain
Consider:
Can I truly understand the meaning of what has happened?
