Today I sweep the floors of my dwelling. Once I begin, there is more and ever more to do. Will the floor ever be perfectly clean?
There is always an imperfection. Do I then give up?
❖
Let me approach the things I do with reverence, Lord, devoted fully to each. Let me bring all of myself to the sweeping, all of myself to my morning walk, all of myself to leisure at day's end. All of myself to you.
Let me be devoted.
