Walking the cliffside path, looking down on the peaceful valley. What is that speck at the side of my vision? No more than a mite, it scratches at the door of my view.
In my rooms, in study and devotion, the same scratching. Not in the distance, but near.
Was it you all along, Lord? I thought I was alone yet you were here, reminding me of your support.
❖
What I had forgotten, was never lost. What I thought was far, was near.
Thank you for your presence in my life, Lord, even when my thoughts are elsewhere.
