High on a cliff side, looking across the vista. Peaks and valleys in view. Highs and lows.
My path through this terrain will encompass the mountain top and the shady river valley. Difficult switchbacks and cool forest.
Exhilaration? Accomplishment? Who knows, Lord, what the small moments may bring? It may be that the walk will feel like daily life: bit by bit. Even the highest peak will have been won step after step.
❖
Only from this vantage can I imagine the whole. Yet only from inside each moment can I feel its reality.
Let me live my life day by day, Lord, and feel its reality.
– from the mountain
Consider:
