I have been thinking about peace of mind.
I did not want it when I was younger. Restless energy drew me. I sought edges. Noise, conflict, striving — they all promised importance.
After years, after heartaches, after failure, after growth: peace of mind has become precious to me. Beyond remorse or regret, a still place within. I can rest without hiding. Nothing presses. The world may rage but I remain steady.
I have learned to desire it and protect it.

If I love my own peace of mind so, I must also want not to rob others of theirs. Careless demands, needless drama. They take and take. I owe that I leave my fellows undisturbed.
Peace of mind is the ground inside, on which all other good rests.
Do I guard it today? Do I grant it?

Consider:
How can I better spread peace of mind to others?
