On the Road with Myself
My constant companion.
I slept in a shelter along the path to another, distant village. I awaken to unfamiliar surroundings. Being new, my reactions are new.
Yet still it is me on this bunk. Still it is me looking out a new, small window.
❖
Over days upon days I have come to know myself and my ways; you have taught me to look honestly at my own will. The one whom I came to know at home is here now. I brought my whole basket of trials and joys with me.
Still it is me praying to you, Lord.
Let me follow your will, even along the way to new lands.
