Fearless
Such a small thing.
Cowering in my room, avoiding the inevitable dawn.
There will be duties, and chores. Perhaps conflict and woe.
Too, there may be laughter and fellowship. Hilarity. Good will.
If I bring joy, there may indeed be joy.
❖
Why cower, if I can go forth and bring with me what I would most desire?
Let me be fearless, Lord, to cross my threshold.
