Bit by bit, this quiet room has darkened, the corners become cluttered. I scarcely noticed, and now to clean it all feels insurmountable.
I sit on my sofa, trying to reach you, Lord, when the channel is choked with silt. Small wonder I cannot see more than the shape of you from this vantage point.

Enter my thoughts, Lord, and move me. Let me not rest idle but begin instead to do your will.
